My original intention with designing my website was to create something practical and seamless.
No backgrounds or borders or stylish formatting. Just a navigation bar and text on a page.
So thats what I did, and I was satisfied.
But now, on reflection the average visitor won’t appreciate nor care for my simple format.
No the modern way to do websites is to present a digital boxs around your content to lay on top of a clean backround.
I see these boxes everywhere and I’m starting to understand why people like them. Using “Resume” as a testing ground I’m trying stuff out and considering creating a more conventional style for my website.
Something where it feels like you are flipping over pages on the website?
I don’t really know what I’m doing…
Web Design is something I’ve never thought about up until Recently and frankly I don’t quite like the limitations.
Part of me wants to spend the time to create a interesting interactive experience with javascript or flash.
But there are some damn good reason why you don’t see that many flash based websites.
